iLac Hybrid Gel Polish Application:

1) After disinfecting your tools and workstation with INK Disinfectant Spray proceed to apply INK Cuticle Remover, wait for approximately 30 seconds before pushing away the dead skin with an orangewood stick. To de-activate the cuticle remover we recommend washing the hands thoroughly with soap and water before drying (you can de-activate using INK Pre-nail Prep but be sure to thoroughly double wipe). Then clean the nail surface thoroughly using INK Pre-nail Prep (to remove any grease, dirt or oil from your nail) - Please note: Almost ALL brands recommend a light buffing (240grit) of the nail plate in order to aid adherence and provide longevity...we prefer that you don´t do this as we are somewhat manic about protecting the natural nail...it is of course an option and should you wish to do so please lightly buff prior to using the INK Pre-nail Prep

2) Apply a thin coat of iLac Hybrid Base Coat or Base Elevation*** (cap the free edge) and cure (30secs LUX48 LED/120secs UV)

3) Shake (or stir) the bottle well! Apply a thin coat of iLac colour polish remembering to cap the free edge of the nail to prevent chipping and cure (30secs LUX48 LED/120secs UV)

4) Apply a second coat of iLac colour polish and cure for 30secs LUX48 LED/120secs UV. Repeat for a third coat if necessary.

5) Apply a coat of iLac Top Plus or Rock*** remembering to cap the free edge of the nail and cure for 30secs LUX48 LED/120secs UV

6) To remove the sticky residue (inhibition layer) from the nail, thoroughly wipe with a cotton pad saturated with INK Cleaner - This will bring out the shine and complete your iLac Manicure

iLac Removal - Easy! Saturate a cotton wipe with INK Remover then place the wipe on the nail securing in place with aluminium foil. Wait 8 minutes (maximum) and remove the wrap. Remove any residue with an orangewood stick

 iLac Tips:

1) apply thin coats, thin to win!

2) to produce maximum shine be sure to cure the second colour coat fully prior to applying the top coat (we fully recommend INK Cleaner to remove the sticky residue, not because we manufacture it but because it is specially designed to bring out the maximum shine in our iLac range)

 3) 1 or 2 drops daily on each nail of INK Cuticle Oil +Vitamins will help keep your nail hydrated and increase the longevity of your iLac manicure

4) Buffing prior to application will increase the longevity of your manicure but we really don´t recommend it - if you are a buffer then please buff lightly

5) LED Curing...There is such a wide variety of LED lamps on the market that it is difficult to provide an accurate cure time, our lamp is extremely powerful so if you are using a less powerful one you may need to increase the cure time to 60 or even 90 seconds (especially for the second colour and top coat)

***BASE ELEVATION can be used as an alternative to Hybrid Polish Base, its higher gel content will provide extra strength to those clients that need it and it can also be used to give more shape to the nail when applying in a thicker layer. ROCK can be used instead of Top Plus for those clients that need a little extra strength

*****If applying iLac over gel or acrylics there is no need to use iLac base coat*****

xLac All-In-One Gel Polish Application:

1) After disinfecting your tools and workstation with INK Disinfectant Spray proceed to apply INK Cuticle Remover, wait for approximately 30 seconds before pushing away the dead skin with an orangewood stick. To de-activate the cuticle remover we recommend washing the hands thoroughly with soap and water before drying (you can de-activate using INK Pre-nail Prep but be sure to thoroughly double wipe). Now, thoroughly clean the nail surface using INK Pre-nail Prep (to remove any grease, dirt or oil from your nail) - Prior to using INK Prenail Prep you may lightly buff the surface of the nail using a 240 grit buffer, this will ensure maximum longevity...it isn´t our recommendation to do so but the option is there if you wish. After wiping with INK Prenail Prep you may (an option, not a necessity) apply a thin layer of INK 007 Bonder before commencing your first xLac coat.

2) Shake (or stir) the bottle! Apply a very thin coat of xLac polish (the thinner the stronger) remembering to cap the free edge of the nail to prevent chipping and cure (30secs LUX48 LED/120secs UV).

3) Apply a second coat of xLac polish and cure for 60secs LUX48 LED/120secs UV. Repeat for a third coat if necessary.

4) This is a real easy one, nothing! That’s it your xLac manicure is now complete - There is no need to use cleaner (inhibition remover) with xLac as it dries to a no tack finish.

xLac Removal- Saturate a cotton wipe with INK Remover then place on the nail securing with aluminium foil, wait 3 minutes and remove the wrap. Remove any residue with an orangewood stick

xLac Tips:

1) we cannot stress the importance of applying thin coats, trust us, the thinner the stronger!!!

2) We would like to repeat Tip 1, THIN coats please

3) 1 or 2 drops daily on each nail of INK Cuticle Oil +Vitamins will help keep your nail hydrated and increase the longevity of your xLac manicure

4) For greater longevity you can apply our INK 007 Bonder (Acid Free) after wiping down the nail with our Pre-nail prep

5) Buffing of the nail surface isn´t necessary in our opinion, however, if you do buff lightly it will increase the longevity significantly

6) xLac is a 1 step system so what I am about to write may sound rather strange...you may if you wish apply iLac Top Coat over your xLac polish, if you do then after curing you will need to wipe off the inhibition layer with INK Cleaner. If using iLac top coat the removal time will increase by 2 minutes

7) Please note: Any bubbling or wrinkling is a clear sign that xLac was applied too thickly or the curing time or lamp is insufficient, xLac is not only highly pigmented but also contains the base and top coat within the product so thin coats are needed

xLac can be used on the natural nail or over gel and acrylics

Please note: LED Lamps are all different, the curing times are based on using our LUX48 LED. Other LED lamps will require a longer cure time.

xLac is designed to last up to 10 days!

iJel Hard Gel System by INK London - Sculpting

1) After thoroughly cleaning the hands of both the client and the technician proceed to disinfect your tools and workstation with INK Disinfectant Spray

2) Apply INK Cuticle Remover to the cuticle area on each finger and after 30 seconds proceed to push away the dead skin from each nail. IMPORTANT: Wash hands with soap or double cleanse with Pre-nail Prep to remove the cuticle remover residue.

3) Very lightly buff the surface of the nail to remove any grease or dirt from each nail before thoroughly wiping down the full nail surface with INK Pre-Nail Prep

4) Apply a very thin coat of INK Prime-Bond for maximum adhesion, this will air dry in seconds. Use sparingly and keep away from the skin as it will spread across the nail plate on its own.

5) iJel does not require a separate base coat so the first step now is to apply a thin coat of iJel Clear Gel (please note: for this stage you can use one of iJel´s other gel colours) across the full nail surface and the form - cure under UV for 1 minute or LUX48 LED for 30 seconds

6) Proceed to build your nail according to your chosen design normally using 1 or 2 layers. iJel is self-levelling so simply push the gel around the nail surface gently curing each layer for 2 minutes under UV or 30 seconds under most LED lamps (some could take 60 seconds)

7) Using INK Cleaner wipe down the nail to remove the sticky inhibition layer before filing the nail to create the chosen shape and length

8) After wiping away any dust from the nail proceed to apply 1 coat of iJel Pro-Finish or Mega Flexi and cure for 2 minutes under UV or 30 seconds under LUX48 LED. iJel Pro-Finish is a no wipe protective top coat that gives the ultimate shiny finish, Mega Flexi is our new one-for-all no wipe (acetone resistant) top coat, suitable for over iLac, xLac, iJel, Jelly Pro and Acrylink.

9) Add a drop of INK Cuticle Oil+Vitamins to each nail

+iJel is designed for sculpting and for use over tips

+iJel is a hard gel (file off)

***If you are applying iLac or xLac over iJel there is no need to use iJel Pro Finish, after building your nail, wiping and shaping simply proceed to apply your first iLac/xLac colour coat. If using iLac over iJel you MUST finish with the iLac Top Plus, Rock or Mega Flexi (not iJel Pro Finish)

INK London – Acrylink Dipping System (ADS)

Step – by – Step

One Colour Overlay

1.      Sanitise/wash both yours and your clients hands.

2.      File the free edge into shape using an INK 240 file.

3.      Apply cuticle remover around each nail and allow to ‘soak’ for 30 seconds. (Optional – Cuticle work can also be performed dry)

4.      Using the INK London cuticle pusher, gently push back the cuticle. Use the cuticle knife to remove any non-living tissue from the nail plate.

5.      Apply ‘Nail Prep’ solution to a dry lint free pad and scrub well into each nail plate.

6.      Remove the shine from the nail plate using the 180 side of the 100/180 INK London Buffer, be very gentle as too much buffing can cause damage to the nail plate.

7.      Dehydrate the nail plate for a second time using the INK ‘Prep’ solution. This will also help ensure that the cuticle remover is completely deactivated.

8.      Primer – At this stage the use of ‘Prime bond’ or the ‘Prime Pen’ is optional – however it can be used on clients that are prone to chipping and lifting. Apply a very small amount of primer to the free edge and allow to dry.

9.      Apply a thin, yet smooth layer of ‘base’ to the nail plate. Keep a small distance away from the cuticle and sidewalls. Flooding the cuticle/side walls could cause lifting and service breakdown.

10.  Dip the client’s nail into the powder of your choice, holding the nail at a slight angle and being careful not to hit the sides or base of the pot.

11.  Hold the nail in the powder for 1-2 seconds.

* TOP TIP - When removing the nail from the powder, if the nail appears shiny/wet, re-dip the nail back into the powder.

12.  Remove the nail from the powder, dust off the excess powder with a VERY soft pigment or glitter brush.

13.  Repeat on each finger as necessary.

14.  Apply a second layer of ‘base’ to the nail plate and dip into the powder.

15.  Hold the nail in the powder for a few seconds, remove the nail from the powder and dust off the excess.

16.  Repeat this process until the required strength/thickness has been achieved.

17.  Apply a thin, yet even layer of ‘top’ over the nail. This layer will encapsulate the powder and provide added strength to the enhancement.

18.  Apply ‘Activ8’ generously over the nail and allow to dry for a 2-3 minutes. We say a generous amount as we need to be careful not to immediately go over the ADS Top Coat too thinly, we need to almost float the Activ8 over the top as we need to avoid an almost dry Activ8 brush being submerged in the top coat (if this happens we will finish up with a hardened Activ8 brush)

19.  Refine and smooth the nail using a 180 INK nail file or 180 INK buffer, ensuring the surface is smooth and free from imperfections. A stronger nail file can be used if needed, but shouldn’t be necessary.

20.  Dust the nails to remove excess dust.

21.  Buff the nail with the 240/240 buffer to remove any file/buffer marks.

22.  Use the INK Super Shine Buffer - first use the green side, followed by the white side to create a super shiny finish!

23.  Apply cuticle oil to each nail.

24.  Provide aftercare.

25.  Rebook the client for maintenance/removal.

French Overlay

1.      Sanitise/wash both yours and your clients hands.

9.      Apply a thin, yet smooth layer of ‘base’ to the nail plate. Keep a small distance away from the cuticle and sidewalls. Flooding the cuticle/side walls could cause lifting and service breakdown.

10.  Dip and hold the nail into the French dipping tray, creating the perfect smile line. One side of the dipping tray will create a oval smile line, and other side will create a round.

*TOP TIP – A good way to show the difference to your client, Is before step 6, dip the clients nail into the ‘French Dipping Tray’ to show the effect of each smile line. This powder can then simple be dusted off the clients nail before proceeding with your service.

11.  Hold the nail in the powder for a few seconds, remove the nail from the powder, holding the finger downwards tap the side of the nail to remove the excess powder.

** If the nail is not pointing downwards at this stage, it can cause the powder to ‘bounce’ back and distort your perfect smile line.

12.  Dip the nail straight into the ‘pink’ powder of choice, and hold for a few seconds.

13.  Dust off the excess powder with a VERY soft pigment or glitter brush.

14.  Repeat on each finger as necessary.

15.  Apply a second layer of ‘base’ to the nail plate.

16.  Dip the nail into the French dipping jar, creating the perfect smile line.

17.  Hold the nail in the powder for a few seconds, remove the nail from the powder, holding the finger downwards tap the side of the nail to remove the excess powder.

18.  Dip the nail straight into the ‘pink’ powder of choice, and hold for a few seconds and dust off the excess.

19.  Repeat this process until the required strength has been achieved.

20.  Apply a thin, yet even layer of ‘top’ over the nail. This layer will encapsulate the powder and provide added strength to the enhancement.

23.  Dust the nails to remove excess dust.

24.  Buff the nail with the 240/240 buffer to remove any file/buffer marks.

25.  Use the INK Super Shine Buffer - first use the green side, followed by the white side to create a super shiny finish!

26.  Apply cuticle oil to each nail.

27.  Provide aftercare.

28.  Rebook the client for maintenance/removal.
